Glucosamine: effects on recovery following an acute knee injury.

The results of a recent clinical trial by Ostojic et al (2007), studied the effects of 4 weeks of glucosamine administration in athletes following an acute knee injury. Though glucosamine therapy did not impact mean pain intensity during the 4 week treatment course, it did have a statistically significant improvement in knee flexibility following 28 days of treatment.
